Thoughts – Flawlessness and the failure this illusion

At first sight, it is difficult to see the connection between the title and the pictures from Berlin. But maybe some of you heard about the story on Snapchat and already know what is the point.

I’m talking about the small YSL bag that you can see on the blog for the first time. I’ve already bought it in December, but had some kind of inhibitions for a long time. The reason for this exaggerated caution is, that after leaving the house for the first time, I had to struggle with a huge scratch. A single bump on an edge or the collision with a pointed object has left lasting marks on the front of the bag, and so also in my heart.  The shock and disappointment was huge, and I could realize my despair about this misfortune only days later.

Now some of you will ask themselves how a material object can create such feelings in a human being at all. I dont know! Am I superficial, or have I lost touch with the really important things in life? I hope not. And precisely because of these considerations, I decided that sadness isn’t the right way to deal with such a happening. After all, there are so many more important problems and real needs in the world. Moreover, there is no flawlessness, and even if we emulate precisely this perfection in many parts of life, we will always fail at this illusion. Everyone has their own edges. This is what makes us special and is important for our personality. Likewise, this scratch belongs to the small bag and that is ok.
